Membership Benefits

Membership in IADMS is open to any individual who is actively connected with the healthcare, education, administration, and supervision of dancers and/or is a member of the dance community.

You can benefit from membership in the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science by:

  • Increasing your knowledge of dance medicine/science and being able to add a new dimension to the care of dancers with whom you work, whether you are a healthcare professional, a dance educator, or a company director.

  • Networking with other professional in the field, providing a wide resource base for you and your dancers.

  • Receiving the Journal of Dance Medicine & Science (JDMS), the official publication of IADMS, featuring original scientific articles, review articles, case studies, abstracts from current literature, editorials, consensus statements, book reviews, news & notes, letters to the editor and a special topic-oriented issue every year.  All individual memberships (but not school, company, or corporate members) also receive free access to JDMS articles on-line.

  • Receiving the IADMS Quarterly Newsletter containing information on upcoming conferences and workshops, dance medicine and science research, and activities in a variety of locales around the world.

  • Receiving access to the "Members Only" areas of the IADMS web-site, including forums and discussion groups.

  • Searching the on-line IADMS Membership Directory, containing complete contact information for all IADMS members.

  • Purchasing at a discounted rate the Annual Meeting Proceedings and Abtract Books, containing abstracts and/or presentation summaries for lectures, movement sessions, posters, and forums held at the annual IADMS conference.
