Dance Science Posters – 2010 Series

The Adolescent Growth Spurt Poster is a large, full-color poster of a young dancer.  Text is drawn from The Challenge of the Adolescent Dancer, authored by the IADMS Education Committee chaired by Kitty Daniels, and is designed to address considerations teachers need to know when training adolescent dancers.

The Pointe Readiness Poster is a large, full-color poster of a young ballet dancer.  Text is drawn from the When Can I Start Pointe Work? Guidelines for Initiating Pointe Training resource paper, authored by David Weiss, Rachel Anne Rist and Gayanne Grossman, and is designed to address issues teachers need to consider when preparing dancers for pointe training.

The Proprioception Poster is a large, full-color poster of a young dancer.  Text is drawn from the Proprioception resource paper, authored by Glenna Batson, and is designed to demystify the concept of balance and proprioception and provides simple suggestions for improving these critical skills.
